Brewing news USA, CT: Overshores Brewing Company to begin commercial production of its beers this summer

Overshores Brewing Co., Connecticut’s first and only brewery dedicated to making Belgian-style beers, announced on March, 18 its plans to begin commercial production of its award-winning beer this summer.

Overshores recently moved its brewing operations to East Haven and is in the process of building out the production facility. Overshores Brewing Co. will begin brewing and shipping its three signature beers — the Simpel, the Tripel Brun, and the Belgique du Noire — in the second half of 2012.

“After several years of refining our product line and securing financing, we are thrilled to have moved to East Haven and begun the build-out of our production facility,” said Christian Amport, founder and president of Overshores Brewing Co. “Our Belgian style beer has received such a warm welcome in Connecticut and it is satisfying to know that in a few short months people will be able to purchase it directly from their local bar or liquor store.”
