Czech Republic: 1H 2006 malt production increased 2% year-on-year

According to the Czech Beer and Malt Association statement of August 24, Czech malt houses raised output in the first half of 2006 by 2 percent year-on-year to 266,000 tonnes. More than half of the amount was sold abroad, above all to Poland, Romania, Germany, Cuba, Slovenia and Austria.
