UK: Green King plc to transfer to employees 10,000 new ordinary shares

Greene King plc announces August 07 that, on 3 August 2006, 10,000 new ordinary shares in the company were transferred by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Greene King Employee Share Trust, to satisfy shares awarded to employees of the group.

As a result of the transfer, Rooney Anand, Ian Bull, Justin Adams, Mark Angela and David Elliott, who are beneficiaries of the trust, no longer have an interest in the 10,000 shares in the company. This brings the number of new ordinary shares in the Company owned by the Greene King Employee Share Trust to a total of 394,462.

For the 52 weeks ended 30 April 2006, Green King said revenue was up 16% at 818.6 millions and operating profit increased by 21% to Ј190.9 millions.
