Denmark: The leading beer exporting country in Europe

Beer exports stood in Denmark at 57% of the overall beer production. This entitles Denmark to be the No. 1 beer exporter in Europe, according to researches provided recently by Ernst & Young, released on the 1st of May, 2006.

Beer production in Denmark stood at 8.7 million hectolitres in 2005 that is a general 20% growth compared to 2001.

Among the largest Danish beer producers Royal Unibrew and Carlsberg are the biggest beer exporters in Denmark.
