Romania: New CEO for Interbrew Romania

Interbrew Romania, the third largest beer maker in Romania, has appointed Mr. Mihai Ghyka as the new CEO of Interbrew Romania, according to local sources. Ghyka will take up the new position at Interbrew Romania from 1 January 2006.

Ghyka will replace Mihai Albu, former CEO of Interbrew Romania, which has been appointed president of the InBev’s regional unit that includes Hungary, Croatia and the Czech Republic.

By the end of third quarter, Interbrew Romania was the third largest beer producer in Romania with a market share of 21.4%. For the first three quarters of 2005 Interbrew Romania has registered a 7% year-on-year increase in sales.
