Japan: Sapporo to acquire a shochu factory from Kikkoman

Sapporo Breweries announced on November 25 that it will tap into the market of shochu distilled spirits by aquiring a shochu factory from Kikkoman Corporation.

Kikkoman and Sapporo will sign a contract in December according to which Kikkoman will give its factory in Ota, Gunma Prefecture, together with its "Triangle" shochu brand, to Sapporo Breweries next April, Saporo announced.
