UK: Greene King Directors' shareholdings

Greene King plc announces on July 20 that, on 19 July 2005, 41,973 shares in the company were acquired by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Greene King Employee Share Trust. As a result of the acquisition, Rooney Anand, Mark Angela, David Elliott and Michael Shallow, who are beneficiaries of the trust, have acquired an interest in the 41,973 shares in the company. In addition, on the same day the trustees transferred 4000 shares to employees to satisfy options exercised by employees under the Greene King Executive Share Option Scheme 1994. The total number of shares owned by the Greene King Employee Share Trust is therefore now 419,280.
