Australia: South and East Australia remain too dry for barley planting
Western Australia received beneficial rainfalls during this past weekend, but the South and East remain much too dry. Precipitation had been negligible since months, in April rains varied from 1 to 10 mm in most grain areas. There are still one, even two months left for planting barley, but Australian farmers are definitely concerned, annalists commented. Old crop stocks are much lower than usual, which led to firmer domestic markets already.
