Ukraine: Beer exports declined in January-February 2005

In January-February 2005 beer exports of Ukraine decreased by 8.43% in terms of value (US$) compared to the same period last year. Ukrainian beer imports declined by 37.09% for the period.

Last year the size of Ukrainian beer market totaled 17.29 million hl versus 15.26 million hl in 2003. In 2004 every Ukrainian consumed about 36 litres of beer. The main market players are: Sun Interbrew with 36%, BBH with 22%, Obolon with 21% and Donetsk Brewery with 13%.
