World barley trade 2004/2005: United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) published on April 11 its latest forecast of world trade changes of barley in 2004/2005. 2004/2005 EU barley export is cut by USDA by 500,000 tonnes to 2.8 million tonnes because of slow exports thus far and reduced import demand from Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia barley imports for 2004/2005 is down by 500,000 tonnes to 6.0 million tonnes because of good pasture conditions, according to the last estimations of USDA.
