Brazil: Beer industry growing both in production volume and technological innovation

The Brazilian beer industry is growing both in production volume and technological innovation. This growth is driven by large companies as well as a rising number of small, artisanal producers, FreshlyBottled.com reported on October 28.

According to a 2023 study by Euromonitor International, Brazil reached a significant milestone in beer production, surpassing 15.4 billion litres. The study notes that this growth began in 2013, fueled by technological advancements that enabled the introduction of new flavors and styles. Investments in factory modernization and increased production capacity have also played a role. Additionally, incentives for small producers have led to a rise in the number of artisanal breweries across the country.
