USA, CT: Transcend Brewing Company to be launched in former Skygazer Brewing location in Southington
After stepping away from Skygazer Brewing Co. in Southington, former co-founder and brewer Erik Tynik has unveiled plans for a new brewing company, the New Haven Register reported on July 13.
In a series of Instagram posts, Tynik announced plans to start Transcend Brewing Company. Transcend Brewing Co. will brew out of the former location of Skygazer Brewing Co. in Southington.
"I am taking a new approach to IPA's to try and bring back some of that crushability and crisp refreshingness, while maintaining the fruity haze we all love," said Tynik in an Instagram post. "We were holding off on releasing the name of the new Brewery until things were finalized, but many of you have figured it out through the grapevine, so consider this official."
Though plans are still scarce for the new brewery, Tynik did unveil the first brew for Transcend - Elevate, according to an Instagram Post. The double IPA is blended with Azacca, Eureka, Mosiac and Citra. This creates a tropical flavor with a balance of "dank resin."
Last month, Tynik stepped away from Skygazer Brewing Co. due to "amicable creative differences regarding the operations and direction of the company," according to a statement from Tynik. Skygazer Brewing Co, has currently suspended the production of new beers out of their Southington Brewery.
