Russia: Malt output increases by 9% in 2019

Russian maltsters increased their production volume in 2019, Profibeer reported citing data by state statistics office Rosstat.

Last year’s malt output amounted to 1.382 mln tonnes, which is 9% more than in 2018 and 17% more than in 2017.

At the same time, Russia’s beer output dropped by 0.1% to 77.1 mln hl, Rosstat said.
