Brewing news Russia: No beer on City Day in Krasnoyarsk

Sale and drinking of beer will be restricted in the center of Krasnoyarsk on the City Day, June 10, as Sergey Suvorov, police chief of public order and security, stated, according to Newslab, June 6.

Suvorov said it would be banned to bring alcohol to public places on the City Day. "Glass bottles will be seized no matter what they contain. And it will be forbidden to bring alcohol in any packing. These are usual requirements for mass events," Suvorov stated.

Moreover, alcohol sale will be forbidden in Mira Prospect, where the carnival will be held. The same is with the square near the Big Concert Hall – there will be no beer stalls or summer cafes.
