World: The latest figures available for beer statistics

Beer consumption in 2006 has been very good in most countries of the world, also in saturated markets of Western Europe and North America.

A few official figures are available: Russia 99.9 million hl (plus 9.8 %), Germany 106.8 million hl (plus 1,4 %), regrettably Japan 49.8 million hl (minus 0.7 %, of which 9.6 million hl no-malt beer).
