World: September’s main malt market events

Malt business in September 2006 included Southeast Asian purchases from Australia, Europe and China, market analysts communicated on October 3rd.

Two breweries in Brazil purchased about 180,000 tonnes for 2007, predominantly from Argentina and from local suppliers.

Thailand and Venezuela requested offers, but did not buy yet. The large international brewing groups have not completed their purchases for 2007.
