Hong Kong: Kingway Brewery announced change of company secretary and cessation of alternate director

The board of directors of Kingway Brewery Holdings Limited announced that, with effect from 14 September 2006, Mr. TAM Wing Kin, Wicky has resigned as the Company Secretary and Ms. WONG Kin Yan, Vanessa has been appointed as the Company Secretary of the Company. Ms. Wong is an associate member of both The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

The Board also announced that, with effect from 14 September 2006, Mr. Frederik Willem Kurt LINCK has ceased to be the alternate director to Mr. KOH Poh Tiong. Mr. Linck will be taking up a position within the Heineken organisation. The Board is not aware of any disagreement with Mr. Linck nor of any matters relating to Mr. Linck�s cessation as such alternate director that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

The Board expressed its appreciation to Mr. Linck and Mr. Tam for their contributions to the Company in the past.

As 14 September 2006, the executive directors are YE Xuquan, JIANG Guoqiang and LIANG Jianqin; the non-executive directors are KOH Poh Tiong, HAN Cheng Fong, Sijbe HIEMSTRA, ZHAO Leili, LUO Fanyu, HO LAM Lai Ping, Theresa and Michael WU; and the independent non-executive directors are Alan Howard SMITH, V-nee YEH and Rafael GIL-TIENDA.
