UK: Marston’s Pedigree ale nominated to become an official Icon of England

Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries’ Marston’s Pedigree ale was nominated to become an official Icon of England, according to media reports.

The Icons website has been launched by Government Culture Minister David Lammy and features nominations ranging from the routemaster bus to the Savoy hotel.

As St George’s Day approaches, members of the public are encouraged to log on to the website www.icons.org.uk and vote for their favourite English symbol to whittle the list down to the final 12.
