Russia: St. Petersburg will spend 1 million RUB for the “Beer festival - 2006”

1 million RUB will be allocated from the budget of St. Petersburg for holding the “Beer festival - 2006” that will take place on 24-25 June 2006. The announcement was made by the deputy president of the committee of economic development of the city, Yury Rakkov.

Among the organizers of the “Beer-festival” are Baltika, Heineken and Stepan Razin brewing complex.

“This year we decided to improve the format of the Beer-festival,” Mr. Rakkov said. The festival will last 2.5 days with interesting, cultural and creative activities. The “Beer-festival-2006” will be an attempt to get to the European level of organizing festivals.
