Ukraine: World football star became the face of �Obolon� Beer Company

World football star, Andriy Shevchenko, forward of Italian �Milan� and the Ukrainian combined team, has become the face of �Obolon� Beer Company, Ukrainian newspapers published on January 23.

Company�s honorary president Oleksander Slobodian claimed this at a press conference in UNIAN today. He expressed a belief that the contract will help to promote �Obolon� beer at the world market.

A.Shevchenko disclosed that his collaboration with �Obolon� will involve not only taking part in advertising, but also in various programs, including those to help children.

The football player stressed that, for him, �Obolon� is not only a symbol of Ukraine, but it reminds him of his childhood and the beginning of his career in sport. �I grew up in Obolon [a district of Kyiv - UNIAN], I studied and made my first football steps there�, said he.

A.Shevchenko refused to disclose the sum of the contract, but pointed out that Ukraine appreciates its sportsmen and the �contract is very nice�.
