EU: Malt export licence bookings decreased by 18% for Jul-Nov 2005

EU malt export licence bookings from July 1 – November 29 were 855,000 tonnes, 190,000 tonnes or 18 % less than a year ago.

If converted into a theoretical figure for the crop year, exports would come to 2.05 million tonnes, still a steep drop from the 2.22 million tonnes in 2004/05. However, the pace of exports has improved somewhat since the July-October figure.
