Sweden: Carlsberg in Sweden, Carlsberg Sverige, announced on April 6 that it is to launch this summer a new beer brand on the Swedish market named Pripps Blå Sommar Special. The drink is a lemon-flavoured beer and is based on Mexican and Spanish summer beers. Carlsberg information director Bo Soderstrom said: “A marketing campaign for Pripps Blå Sommar Specia will hit Swedish television, the evening press, the Internet and stores soon.”

Carlsberg Sverige, based in Stockholm, Sweden is part of the international beverages group Carlsberg Breweries, which is owned 100 percent by Carlsberg, Denmark. Carlsberg Sverige sells about 207 million litres of beer per year. Number of employees: 2,088. Sales (volume), soft drinks & mineral water: 217 million litres
