A period of high temperatures over the past two weeks and without any additional moisture has quickly turned a very good barley crop development in Canada into a more worrisome situation. Conditions in the US are holding, RMI Analytics reported.

The analysts� crop estimate is reduced by 0.3 mln tonnes to 9.5 mln tonnes. A wide range of quality impacts (e.g. range of proteins) could be expected.
