Colombia: New Bavaria brewery to launch in the second half of 2024

The new Bavaria brewery will start in the second half of 2024, Freshlybottled.com reported on March 26.

The new facility, which is currently in the final phase of construction, is located 50 km from the city of Barranquilla and will produce various national brands. The Colombian brewery Bavaria stated that the new Cervecería del Atlántico will have the capacity to produce up to six million hectolitres of beer. This new plant is also part of the plan for zero net carbon emissions in its value chain until 2040.

In this way, the Cervecería del Atlántico joins the seven plants that Bavaria has in Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Itagüí, Yumbo, Tibasosa and Tocancipá. Likewise, the brewery has two malthouses, located in Cartagena and another in Tibitó. The new brewery is scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2024.
