World: Barley world markets estimates more or less unchanged in November

USDA and IGC keep their world demand estimates for barley world markets more or less unchanged, close to 30 mln tonnes, H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their December report.

IGC has reduced the Saudi demand to 4.2 mln tonnes, and expects China to buy 9.2 mln tonnes of barley. Volume lost in these import markets has been compensated by larger purchases of Iran, Turkey and S.E. Asia.

So far, new crop world barley exports are well below targets, and markets have shown little activity since months. Price levels will probably move in line with the big grains, wheat and corn, the analysts said.
