USA, OH: Hi-Wire Brewing opening a Greater Cincinnati location
A North Carolina-based brewery is opening a Greater Cincinnati location, part of the brand's first expansion into Ohio, Cincinnati.com reported on December 9.
Hi-Wire Brewing, which is based in Asheville, will open a brewery and taproom at Factory 52 in Norwood, the former site of the US Playing Card factory. Construction has already begun, and the location is expected to open in the fall.
We have had a lot of success in other markets when we purposefully partner with developers that are already committed to reuse, Chris Frosaker, Hi-Wire co-owner said in a release. We primarily seek campus-style locations in neighborhoods that are up-and-coming; so Factory 52 is just a great fit for our organization.
To open in Norwood, the brewery is working with PLK Communities.
Cincinnati will be Hi-Wire's first Ohio location. In addition to several around North Carolina, Hi-Wire has locations in Louisville and Knoxville, Tennessee.
Once open, Factory 52 will feature a food hall, boutique retail shops, residences, a dog park, an Aces Pickleball complex and a public courtyard. The Hi-Wire taproom will be a multi-level design, with a 5,800-square-foot primary space featuring a bar with 24 taps and an outdoor patio. The 3,780-square-foot rooftop deck and 12-tap secondary bar will occupy the third floor.
