World: Germany and US report lower beer sales in January-April this year
There are few reports of beer sales, and they are negative (April had 3 business days less than average months), H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their June report.
German brewers reported a 7.2% drop in April sales and a 3.6% drop in January-April.
The US sold 4.1% less beer in April and reported a decline of 3.6% in January-April.
Brazil ceased publication of its beer sales, but according to private sources the downtrend has been stopped.
Malt markets were calm last month, most major actions are not transparent anyway.
