Angola: The Refriango Group to invest 32 mln to triple the production of its Tigra beer brand
The Refriango Group has decided to invest 32 mln in order to triple the production capacity for its Angolan beer brand Tigra, the Drinks International reported on June 2.
Refriango launched Tigra in April 2016 and the factory currently produces 60 mln litres of beer a year, but the decision to expand will also create 50 jobs within the company.
A Tigra spokesperson said: Tigra is a brand that looks to the future with optimism and wants to show that it is possible to offer innovative solutions that continue to surprise, with a high quality product that wins consumer preference, in an estimated market of 800 mln litres.
Tigra is produced at the Kikuxi factory, in the outskirts of Luanda, Angola which cost $50 mln to build. In its first year, Tigra beer has invested $10 mln in marketing across all platforms.
Refriango says Tigra is a soft, easy-drinking Pilsner beer with 5% ABV and is triple filtered.
