Barley: On June 26 Coceral published new crop estimates. The total EU grain crop is put at exactly 200 million tonnes, 9 to 10 million tonnes below recent Commission and private estimates. The barley crop is seen at 48 million tonnes, also lower than earlier figures, e.g. the USDA estimate of 49.5 million tonnes. Also the EU wheat crop is expected to be 4,2 million tonnes down from last year.
