The Czech brewery Budweiser Budvar, N.C. and Oy Sinebrychoff Ab have signed an agreement for the sales and marketing of Budejovicky Budvar beers in Finland, according to Czech brewery’s news room, January 22. The co-operation became concretised in early January when two high-quality Budejovicky Budvar beers – Budejovicky Budvar Premium Lager and Budejovicky Budvar Dark Premium Lager – were added to Sinebrychoff’s House of Beer selection.

Founded in 1895, the Budweiser Budvar, N.C. brewery is located in Ceské Budejovice, a town in the southern part of the country. In Ceske Budejovice the beer brewing traditions extend back over 700 years. Budweiser Budvar, N.C. is a state-owned company.

Nearly 50% of the brewery’s annual production of more than one hundred million litres is exported. The brewery is known by brand names Budejovicky Budvar and Czechvar. All Budvar beers are produced at Ceské Budejovice, ensuring complete taste enjoyment for their drinkers anywhere in the world.

“I am extremely delighted that we are now working with Budweiser Budvar, N.C., one of the world’s leading breweries that was searching for a strong distribution channel for its beers in Finland. Sinebrychoff’s corporate strategy includes the enrichment of Finland’s beer culture with high-quality foreign beers. We are proud of the fact that we can now provide tradition-rich Budejovicky Budvar beers to Finnish consumers through our customers,” states CEO Mikael Aro.

For his part, Budweiser Budvar's CEO Jiří Boček says, “Our brewery is gaining an excellent business partner in Finland. Both companies will benefit from this co-operation and we believe that it will also be appreciated by Finnish connoisseurs of imported beers.”
