USA: Madison brewer combines beer with green tea
BluCreek Brewing, a Madison brewer, is combining the healthful effects of green tea in a new beer called Zen, The Milwaukee Channel released July 31.
BluCreek Brewing said the India Pale Ale could be the first of its kind and has a subtle taste of green tea flavor.
The micro brewer is known for its unusual creations. It previously marketed an ale made with
fresh wild blueberries and a beer using Wisconsin ginseng.
The Zen beer will be available in August and will have a suggested retail price of about $7.50 to $8.50 a six-pack. BluCreek brews its beers in Black River Falls.
