USA, MA: Walden Woods Brewings plans for Marlborough location fall through
Plans have fallen through for a nano-brewery that was expected to open on Main Street in Marlborough, MassLive.com reported on June 8.
The owners of Walden Woods Brewing announced in a Facebook post on June 8 that the brewery will not open for business. They had planned to open the two-barrel brewery and taproom in the Victoria Building in the heart of downtown Marlborough.
"We would like the entire community to know how hard we fought to save our vision - this little brewery - but in the end, the battle was lost," Alida Orzechowski and Chris Brown wrote in the post.
In mid-March, the pair announced that the opening of the taproom would be delayed due to a "temporary but unpreventable set back."
Orzechowski and Brown have not said what hindered their plans and could not be reached for comment on June 8.
