Russia: Malt production up 2% in Q1 2019
Russias malt output totalled 322.8 thousand tonnes in Q1 2019 which is 2% more than in the first quarter of the last year, Zerno Online reported.
As compared to the first three month of 2017, production was up 3% this year.
In the Central Federal District, where the nations main malting sites are located, the output was 210.9 thousand tonnes (+7% versus Q1 2018).
In 2018, Russian maltsters produced a total of 1.267 mln tonnes of malt, 7% more than in 2017.
