Brazil: Number of breweries reaches 835
The number of breweries in Brazil increased by 23% during the first nine months of this year, the latest data by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply showed.
As of September, there were 835 breweries in the country – up from the last count of 679 breweries in December 2017.
According to the Ministry, southern Brazil hosts the highest number of breweries - 369, the south-east is ranked second with 328 breweries and north-east third with 61 brewery.
