Argentina: Analysts reduce barley crop forecast due to worsening weather conditions
In Argentina the weather conditions are turning from very good to just okay as there is a shortage of water in several regions, and locally some frost has been reported as well, GrainCom reported on October 5.
The analysts have reduced a bit their barley crop size potential in Argentina. Local markets remain mostly at a standstill as farmers are absent from the selling side for additional volume. Up to now about 200 thousand tonnes have been sold as malting barley, and 1 mln tonnes as feed barley.
