Canada, ON: StoneHammer Brewing reportedly closed down
Ontario beer writer Ben Johnson reports via Bens Beer Blog that Guelphs StoneHammer Brewing has closed down after more than two decades of business.
While no official announcement has been made by the brewery, Johnson says sources have confirmed that last week employees were told to head home and asked not to return and that production of beer had ceased permanently.
StoneHammer was founded in 1995 by Rich Fortnum and Charles MacLean under the name F&M Brewing, and has been owned since 2015 by Phillip and Lesley Woodhouse, who changed the name to match the branding of the brewerys core beer line-up.
