Russia: Beer production down 2.9% in January February this year
According to Rosstat data, Russias beer production continues to decline. Local brewers produced 2.9% less beer in January February this year compared to the same period in 2017.
In February alone, output was 4.96 mln hl, or 5.6% down from February 2017.
Beer imports, on the other hand, grew by 32.6% to 14.2 mln litres in January as compared to January 2017 and more than doubled as compared to January 2016, Rosstat said.
