Canada, NB: Niche Brewing opening soon near Fredicton
The Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reports that a new brewery will be opening in Hanwell, a small community near Fredicton in west-central New Brunswick.
Niche Brewing is being founded by veteran homebrewers Rob Coombs and Shawn Meek, and will be launching with 2 barrel brewhouse and a focus on keg sales to local licensees. According to the brewerys Twitter bio, Coombs and Meek plan to brew a variety of beer styles with the emphasis on sours and Brett beers.
While an exact timeline has yet to be announced, the pair has secured a location for the brewery, and equipment is soon to arrive, making a late autumn or early winter opening seem most likely.
