EU: EU Commission abolishes the system of import and export licences for all grains
The EU Commission has abolished the system of import and export licences for all grains and products, which are not part of quotas or other special programs, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in February.
TAXUD, the customs surveillance, collects and reports all EU import and export data once a week. For our sector, licences for the Ukrainian and general quotas of barley and malt remain in force; and small items, e.g. roasted malt, are not reported on a weekly basis, but must be collected from Eurostat, as before, the Gauger analysts said.
