Russia: SUN InBev – a new name with a rich history
SUN Interbrew shareholders have decided to change the name of their company in OAO “SUN InBev” at an extraordinary meeting, August 28, 2006 according to company’s press room. On December 29, the new name has been registered in the state register of legal entities.
Simultaneously with the company name’s change, ZAO “Interbeer” – brewing company “Tinkoff”, based in St. Petersburg and purchased by InBev in August 2005, joined OAO “SUN InBev”.
Olga Paskina, head of OAO “SUN InBev” legal department, mentioned in a statement concerning the creation of the company with a new name, that “SUN InBev” becomes the universal assignee of ZAO “Interbeer” and OAO “SUN Interbrew”, keeping at the same time all the requisites of the last.
