USA: Idaho barley price higher
Idaho Barley Commission announced, December 21, barley prices range from unchanged to 25 cents higher t. USDA reported net export sales reductions of 1.8 TMT. Barley exports of 21.5 TMT were for Japan and Taiwan.
The EU Grains Management Committee rejected all bids to export free market barley this week. Exporters had sought to export 100 TMT of free-market barley with a maximum refund of 2.97 euros/MT. The panel agreed to sell 10.768 TMT of intervention barley onto the EU market.
The Japanese MAFF purchased 40 TMT of Australian food barley in this week’s grain import tender.
