Romania: Brau Union’s Golden Brau brand sales upped by 10% in 1H 2006
Brau Union, Romania’s beer market leader, reported sales of Golden Brau brand increased by 10% year-on-year in 1H 2006, Ziarul Financiar released November 03. According to the company’s findings, the positive progress is explained by a wider product range and the company’s increasing marketing budgets.
“Our investments in promoting the Golden Brau brand have doubled,” said Edwin Botterman, CEO of Brau Union.
Golden Brau is Brau Union portfolio’s pearl which is annually sold in 1.1 million hl and which capitalizes nearly one third of the company’s sales. As a mainstream brand, Golden Brau reported a 6% increase in sales, mostly on the behalf of the release of the 1.5l PET bottle.
