USA & Russia: Baltika brewery started shipments of “Baltika Nr. 0” brand to the USA

Baltika brewery’s Sankt-Petersburg facility started to ship “Baltika Nr. 0” beer to USA. The brand shall be available in New York and other big cities’ mini-markets and outlets starting from the end of November 2006. The brewery plans to consign more than 15,000 l of Baltika Nr.0 to USA until the end of 2006.

In compliance with the American beer market particular regulations, Baltika came out with a new label for the Russians’ most favored non-alcoholic brew. Under the American regulations, the “0” had to be omitted from the label, consequently the beer was baptized simply “Baltika non-alcoholic”

The brand will target mainly the Russian-speaking Americans but also native Americans who inhabit in New-York, New Jersey, California and Florida states. The assumed price for a 0.5 l bottle of Baltika will reach US$1.5.

Baltika Nr. 0 started its history in February 2001 when Baltika became the first who had released a non-alcoholic beer. The beer is brewed with high quality ingredients and in compliance with the traditional brewing technology. When going through the last phase of brewing, the alcohol is being neutralized trough the dialysis method.
