There is nothing new to report for the Black Sea region, exporters are just executing old sale contracts. Ukraine government has granted the full 2006 export quota for barley, 600,000 t, to at least four companies.
Japan bought 20,000 t of Australian malting barley for January. Jordan placed a tender, November 8th, for 100,000 t feed barley for December.
Turkey, await result, 110kt white and 15kt black barley for Nov/Dec. Sellers stated they had bids from 12 companies and had accepted bids to maximum $190.63.
The period between October 30 and November 03 was quite dully for the barley market and analysts see no reason for the next days to be any better. Third countries demand remains slow and would not expect this to improve yet.
