Brewing news Cameroon: The Cameroon Anonymous Brewers Association released the brown Pelforth Extra Stout beer

The Cameron beer market became more populated after the release of a brand new product - Pelforth Extra Stout, a brown beer brewed by the Cameron Anonymous Brewers Association (CABA), Le Messager informed October 18. The CABA’s headquarter hosted Friday 13 the brew’s presentation ceremony.

According to the CABA’ director Andre Siaka, the new beer is supposed to compensate the failure of some other brands like Doppel, Porter 39 and the mitigated release of Castle Stout Milk.

“The brand is not actually a novelty in Cameron. In fact, it existed under a blonde variety. If it becomes brown, it is only because of the Association’s new marketing brand strategy which is supposed to overcome our drinkers’ expectations on us. In addition we wanted to make a profit of the Cameroonian diligence to handle the brand release. The brewing masters are Cameroonians and a young Cameroonian heads the agency which conducts the brand advertising,” Mr. Siaka explains.

Siaka added that the Cameroonian beer market went flat in the past two years, dropping nearly 200,000 hl. “We want to resuscitate this segment by enlarging the brown beer market,” Siaka said.
