Bulgaria: About 250,000 ha estimated to be seeded with barley

There is very little to say about the Bulgarian barley market as there are almost no quantities left in the market. As per official figures of the Ministry of Agriculture, 25,500 ha were seeded with winter barley, UkrAgroConsult noted in its Black Sea rain report nr. 40 for October 02-09, 2006. About 250 000 ha should be sown with winter barley and an additional 50,000 – 75,000 ha with spring barley next year.
