Bulgaria: 30,000 t of barley may be the last export of barley for this crop year
After being calm of more than a month, activity of the barley market of Bulgaria recovered over the last 2 weeks in sympathy with the increase of prices in the Black Sea ports and international market, UkrAgroConsult released in its Black Sea Grain report n. 38 for September 18-25.
With FOB prices reaching US$/t 135/140, about 30,000 t of barley found their way to export, with Toepfer and Nidera as the main buyers. After the first wave of export under the 00 quotas beginning of July to the EU of 60,000 t, this second wave might be the last exports of barley for this crop year out of Bulgaria.
There are almost stocks available for export in the domestic market and the feeders should quickly put their hands on the left over surplus to cover their needs until the new crop.
