Russia: Ochakovo increased sales by 52.5% in 1H 2006
Ochakovo posted a general 52.5% increase of sales 1H 2006. This increase generated an additional return of 510,000hl, The Russian Brewers Union released August 09.
Vladimir Kochetov, Sales director of Ochakovo said: “Beginning with 2006 Ochakovo changed the optics of its approach of working with trading chains.”
“The group which was responsible for the key accounts management was given an independent status and began to supervise not only the organization of sales, but also trade-marketing and merchandising campaigns. In addition, the new division undertook the cooperation of Ochakovo with Moscow, federal and regional commercial chains. The new work organization system has yielded its first positive results which are the most important for us,” Kochetov said.
Among the incentives of sales progress in this time period, Ochakovo has mentioned the new company’s brand range politics which was mostly orientated to the most selling and perspective drinks.
