UK: Brewers Gold awarded Champion Beer of Britain 2006
Brewers Gold from Crouch Vale in Essex has been crowned the 2006 Champion Beer of Britain at the Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) for the second year running, The Publican posted August 3.
The beer beat off stiff competition from contenders from all over the country to gain the prestigious title, which was judged by a panel of expert judges.
Harveys Sussex Best Bitter was awarded second place and Triple FFF's Moondance came third in the closely-fought blind-tasted competition.
