Russia: Ex-owners of “Stepan Razin Kombinat” to reconstruct “Malt and beer plant”

The ex-owners of JSC “Stepan Razin Kombinat” have reconstructed the “Malt and beer plant” with money earned from selling the brewery. The annual estimated production output is 30,000 t. In 2005, the plant outputted 14,000 t of production, The Union of Russian Brewers announced July 04.

According to Vice-president and co-owner of the Malt and beer plant Grigorii Scherbakovskii, the company is already negotiating to supply malt to Saint Petersburg breweries.

JSC “Malt and beer plant” is a former Vyborg brewing plant, which was affiliated to “Stepan Razin Kombinat”. Experts believe the transaction cost maid have reached US$50 million.
